Release list
MirrorAct 0.2.3
Fixes for the style panel in light mode and for wireless mirroring. Update with Homebrew:
brew upgrade --cask mirroractor install it fresh with brew install --cask sopitz/tap/mirroract, or download MirrorAct-0.2.3.zip below, unzip it and move MirrorAct to Applications. The app is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple. It needs macOS 15 or later on a Mac with Apple silicon.
Fixed since 0.2.2
- Style panel in light mode: in light mode the style panel showed light text on a light background and was hard to read. It is now dark in light and dark mode, like the tool rail (#19).
- Wireless mirroring: after you disconnected a wireless device, the AirPlay receiver could keep a processor core busy in the background. It now waits idle for the next connection (#11).
For contributors
- The device profiles (frame shapes, corners, notch, Dynamic Island, pixel density) now come from the shared table
Shared/DeviceProfiles.json; the frames are unchanged (#12). - The AirPlay receiver also builds as a separate helper program (
AirPlayHelper/) that other front ends can start without linking it; builds on macOS, Windows and Linux (#11). - Code comments are in English (#18).
MirrorAct 0.2.2
Fixes for smaller screens and for leaving full screen. Update with Homebrew:
brew upgrade --cask mirroractor install it fresh with brew install --cask sopitz/tap/mirroract, or download MirrorAct-0.2.2.zip below, unzip it and move MirrorAct to Applications. The app is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple. It needs macOS 15 or later on a Mac with Apple silicon.
Fixed since 0.2.1
- Settings on small screens: on a 13" MacBook Air (1470 × 956) the bottom of Settings → General was cut off. The settings window now fits on the screen and scrolls when its content is taller (#14).
- Leaving the presentation: presenting full screen (⌃⌘F) left no visible way out. An "Exit Presentation" button now appears at the top left when presenting starts and whenever you move the mouse, the menu bar slides in at the top edge, and the context menu offers "Exit Presentation". Esc and ⌃⌘F still work (#14).
For contributors
- Tests: a
MirrorActTeststarget, run withscripts/test.sh. - The README is split into a user guide and a contributing guide (
CONTRIBUTING.md).
MirrorAct 0.2.1
The first release with a ready-to-run app. Install it with Homebrew:

- iPhone and iPad control (optional, for developers): mouse, trackpad and keyboard through a test agent on the device (WebDriverAgent), by cable or wirelessly. Control starts when the device connects.
- English user interface next to German, selectable under Settings → General.
- Distribution: hardened runtime, notarized builds, a Homebrew cask in sopitz/homebrew-tap and
scripts/release.shfor future releases.
Version 0.2.0 was tagged without a build; 0.2.1 adds the distribution on top of it.
