@github-actions github-actions released this 23 Aug 04:09

MC2Zotero converts Mendeley Cite fields in Word .docx documents into editable Zotero citations. Import the Mendeley library into Zotero before converting a document.

Version 1.0.2 replaces the repository, homepage, and automatic-update addresses after the GitHub username changed to sorinhostiuc; it also publishes a new update feed and XPI package under that address.

Citation matching and conversion are unchanged.

To install it, download the .xpi file attached below; in Zotero, open Tools > Plugins, choose Install Plugin From File, and select the downloaded file.

Compatible with Zotero 7, 8, and 9.

MC2Zotero 1.0.1

MC2Zotero converts Mendeley Cite fields in Word .docx documents into editable Zotero citations.

What it does

  • Reads Mendeley Cite content controls from Word documents.
  • Matches references by Mendeley ID, DOI, title, author, and year.
  • Uses imported Zotero items and can create missing items when enough metadata is available.
  • Produces Zotero citation fields that can be refreshed and edited in Word.

Before conversion

Import your Mendeley library into Zotero so the converter can match citations to existing items.

Install

  1. Download the .xpi file attached below.
  2. In Zotero, open Tools > Plugins.
  3. Choose Install Plugin From File, select the downloaded file, and restart Zotero if prompted.

Compatible with Zotero 7, 8, and 9.
