teaway is now tea

tea 0.5.0 renames the project from teaway to tea: the executable, Go module, repository and Homebrew Formula. The behavior is the same as 0.4.2.

Before upgrading

Nothing under the teaway name is read by tea. Restore sleep settings and remove the old helper first:

teaway off
teaway auth unregister

Install or upgrade

brew update
brew upgrade soundadam/tap/teaway   # the tap migrates it to tea
# new installs
brew install soundadam/tap/tea

homebrew-core's tea is the unrelated Gitea CLI, so always install with the full name soundadam/tap/tea. Then register the helper again:

tea auth register

Also in this release

  • State lives in ~/Library/Application Support/tea (override: TEA_STATE_DIR).
  • The product page is at soundadam.com/projects/tea.
  • The guided menu draws on an alternate screen, so the action prompt is no longer painted twice.

Distribution

This release publishes the immutable source tag only. The Homebrew Formula builds from source; no unnotarized prebuilt executable is attached.
