Clearer passwordless setup
teaway 0.4.1 makes its narrow passwordless helper easier to discover and explains the macOS authorization boundary before a password prompt appears.
Highlights
- The default guided menu now reports whether passwordless controls are ready.
- A new menu action sets up or repairs passwordless controls and exits after that selected action completes.
- Before invoking
sudo, teaway explains that macOS handles hidden password entry and that teaway never reads or stores the password. - The setup clearly distinguishes the one-time administrator check from later passwordless operations.
- The delegated scope remains narrow: awake-mode changes and exact teaway-owned shutdown schedule/cancel operations only.
Install or upgrade
brew update
brew upgrade soundadam/tap/teawayAfter upgrading, refresh an older registered helper from the guided menu or run:
teaway auth registerDistribution
