A maintenance release. The programs are unchanged from
v1.1 — same thirteen
tracks, same behaviour. If v1.1 works for you, there is no reason to update.
What changed
The build moved off deprecated GitHub Actions: checkout v4 → v7,
setup-python v5 → v7, upload-artifact v4 → v7. All three targeted Node 20,
which runners were already force-running on Node 24 and will eventually stop
supporting. These binaries are the first built on the current toolchain.
Verified with a dispatched run before tagging, since upload-artifact v4 was
itself a breaking change and jumping three majors is exactly the kind of thing
that looks fine in a diff and fails in CI. It didn't: three platforms green,
zero deprecation warnings, all thirteen tracks self-checking from the built
binary.

Linux / macOS: tar xzf deltron-v1.2-*.tar.gz && ./deltron
macOS is arm64 and unsigned — right-click → Open, or
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine deltron.
Windows: run the .exe. SmartScreen will grumble about an unsigned binary
from a repo containing a file called virus.py, which is fair of it.
Or skip the download — every track is stdlib-only Python with a shebang.
They still do nothing to your computer. See the README's safety rails.
Unofficial, non-commercial homage. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Deltron

as a short excerpt with attribution; all riffs are original. Code is MIT — the
songs aren't ours to give.
