Download pxbake.exe below — no Python needed. It asks for elevation on launch, because writing a raw disk requires it.
Status: what is and isn't proven
Verified on real hardware: downloading and checksumming the image, erasing the card, writing the image, writing the config, and reading it back. A card produced by this build was inspected file by file and is byte-correct.
Not yet proven: the Pi-side stages. firstrun.sh (stage 1), the PXVIRT install (stage 2), and the cluster join (stage 3) have never executed on a booted Raspberry Pi — the test board failed at bootloader level with an unrelated hardware fault before any of them ran. The cluster join in particular has never been exercised at all.
Treat 0.1.0 as "the card it writes is correct, and what happens next is untested". Keep a monitor on the Pi for your first boot and read /boot/firmware/pxbake-stage1.log and /var/log/pxbake-install.log.
Safety
Only USB, SD and MMC devices are offered as targets, and anything Windows marks as a system or boot disk is filtered out before you see it — internal drives cannot appear in the dropdown. Cards that aren't Raspberry Pi OS (LibreELEC, RetroPie, Ubuntu) are refused for config-only writes. Passwords are never written to settings.json.
