This release repairs search memory use and the faults found through real package use.
- Search uses complete SQLite discovery snapshots.
pkg updateprepares the cache in the foreground. The first search also prepares it when needed. Nix metadata evaluation starts with 256-entry batches. The client splits oversized batches and retains the previous complete snapshot if refresh fails. - Package changes use a per-profile process lock. Repeated identical installs report
Already installed. Conflict recovery commands use the exact pkg profile. Rollback shows its destination generation. - Obsidian and Calibre use separate private runtime paths. Older installed layouts remain supported. AppImage applications receive DejaVu fonts and Fontconfig configuration.
- Mac tap setup preserves other daemon environment values, reloads the service, and checks live TMPDIR, effective grants, and a fresh sandbox build probe.
Real-use verification covered 2 GB Linux E2B sandboxes without swap and a Tart Mac VM. The complete 108,714-entry native catalog matched the native oracle. Cold discovery used about 504 MiB combined client and evaluator RSS. Both platforms passed 20 concurrent install rounds. Actual, Obsidian, and Calibre passed app removal, explicit restore, and saved-data checks. The real tap import passed without a VM reboot.
Cold cache preparation still takes about eight minutes at the verified Nixpkgs revision. Run pkg update before search to prepare it. RSS monitoring uses sampling with 32 MiB of headroom below the 512 MiB evaluator budget.
