Understanding the Output

How to Interpret the Output

Because this is structured on human input, there are bound to be mistakes or differences between departments on how they format their events listings. I have programmed in a few ways to check if things don't match how we like them in the Physics department.

Highlighting

This is how the program flags something that needs user-input. If a line is highlighted, that means that either something doesn't match our formatting or you need to look for something on the event's page. If the title is highlighted, it means that it doesn't have the | character in it, and the title needs to be changed to [Lecture type] | [Title]. If the speaker is highlighted, it means that it doesn't have any parentheses in it, and the speaker needs to be changed to [Name], [Position], ([Affiliation]). Lastly, if there's a line saying LOOK FOR LIVESTREAM LINK that's highlighted, that means you need to look at the event specifically, because it detected that there might be a livestream link that needs to be added to that event.
