  • The new versions of these pages were well received at ISC!
  • Update cache.spack.io to automatically include our new "rolling releases" (snapshot tags of develop).

Release process

  • It sounds like something might have gone wrong in our buildcache population system when the v0.20 release was created in the GitHub web UI.
  • Discuss with Max and Harmen how to make the next release go even more smoothly.
  • Greg is working on adding backport functionality to spackbot.

Dashboarding

  • Scott made a new dashboard that allows us to see the types of errors that occurred for a given ref. The motivation to create this was to find what types of errors occurred most frequently during the v0.20 release process.
  • We are working to restore and expand access to our alert manager at prometheus.spack.io using GitHub OAuth.

pcluster stacks

  • Work continues on this task, but it is in pretty good shape now.
  • We discussed the fact that we currently need to create new EKS-version-specific pcluster AMIs each time upgrade EKS versions.

Priorities

  • Upgrade gitlab.spack.io
  • Pursue more detailed timing data in our analytics database. It would be useful to compare time spent downloading vs. unpacking vs. relocating vs. actually building (etc).
  • Make sure we're using gp3 EBS volumes for our EC2 instances.
  • Work on setting up a Windows Stack
