concretizer:host_compatible:true
- For now: in general it is quite limited
- Generally requires manual intervention
- If a single package needs to access both a front and backend compiler, then Spack doesn't track that well
- For building some packages with one compiler, and other packages with another compiler, you'd have to be very specific with user specs or package requirements
- Massimiliano: separate concretization of build deps is a pre-req
- Wileam: relevant slack conversation: https://spackpm.slack.com/archives/C5W7NKZJT/p1675439980802569
- TODO: add a dedicated section in docs about cross compilation
- Wileam/Massimiliano: for targeting other microarchitectures, try setting
- Chris: request based on last week's meeting: https://github.com/spack/spack/issues/35372
- (Install only non-root deps in an environment on request)
