v0.1.0
Pre-releasev0.1.0 is the V1 pre-release of the self-improvement app for Android. It is for trying the app out and for feedback. It is not a production release and is not distributed through a store.
What is in it
V1 as merged in PR #2 (dfe560b):
- Five modules, each can be switched off: Body (weight, steps), Nutrition (water, meals), Tasks & habits, Focus & workouts, Analysis (period comparison as chart or table).
- Progress from what you log: XP, levels, badges and a streak, plus a dashboard with configurable cards.
- Local reminders, light / dark / OLED themes, reduced motion, optional haptic feedback.
- Backup: strict JSON export and import with a preview before anything is replaced, and a full reset.
- The interface is in German.
Your data stays on the phone
Everything lives in a local database. No account, no cloud, no telemetry. The app asks only for notification, boot-completed (to restore reminders after a restart) and vibration permissions. It has no internet permission.
Install
- Download
app-release_v0.1.0.apkfrom the assets below. It needs Android 8.0 (API 26) or newer and contains arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a and x86_64 builds. - Open it on the device and allow the installation when Android asks.
The APK is signed with a debug key, not a store signing key. If a build signed with a different key is already installed (for example a CI build), uninstall it first. This deletes the local data, so export a backup first (gear icon → "Daten & Sicherung" → "Jetzt exportieren").
Known limitations
- Little real-device testing. On one phone (Samsung S25) the app starts and a notification works, without further checks. A first start attempt there crashed and the cause has not been investigated. Not yet verified on a device: TalkBack, share sheet and file picker, performance, the system back gesture.
- Automated checks pass: 6,485 host tests, and CI is green (format, analysis, tests, debug and release builds, seven end-to-end flows on an Android 14 emulator). An emulator is not a device.
- Placeholders: the launcher label is still "App-Name" (final name pending). Android shows version 1.0.0 for this build (
pubspec.yaml); v0.1.0 is the pre-release number. - iOS is prepared but not built or tested.
