Highlights

  • Inline images drawn with block characters, ascii art, and even kitty protocol (through extension)
  • Major UI improvements: new "modern" theme, message grouping, multiline reactions, better embed handling...
  • Voice calls are now possible! In DMs, DM groups and server channels! (but they are still WIP and sound is low quality).
  • Many windows, assists and lines now have color formatting, including channel tree, member list, status line, all assists.
  • Tabs have been reworked, now in "subtitle line", there are temp tabs and permanent tabs, try middle-clicking on channel in tree and single/double/middle click on tab.
  • Arrow Up/Down keys are now also used to navigate popup window while it's open. This can be toggled with assist_swap_binding option.
  • Keybinding system now uses human-readable codes, eg. M-S-UP for Alt+Shift+Up.
  • Huge media player optimization - it can now play videos at higher framerates and fps.

New extensions

Warning

Make sure to delete old theme section in config file to allow new theme to load.
Keybinding system has changed. Old keybindings in config will not be overwritten, but cant be used, instead, default bindings will be loaded.
It is recommended to delete old config and let endcord create new fresh one, then edit it with desired settings and optionally delete unmodified keys.
