Field Notes v0.11.1

@github-actions github-actions released this 28 Jul 02:47

Field Notes is an offline, private harm-reduction journal & trip-sitting workstation. Everything stays on your device.

What's new in v0.11.1

  • Top-bar tidy-up. The menu is reordered into a more natural flow — Journal, Substance Log, Substance Directory, Companion, Settings, then Emergency Resources and Report a bug at the end. The old "Substances" reference tab is now labelled Substance Directory so it's clearer what it is, and the "Report a bug" button lost its emoji so it sits cleanly alongside the rest.

For the past-experience logging and the report-a-bug button themselves, see v0.11.0.

First launch

The installers aren't code-signed yet, so the OS will warn on first run:

  • Windows — SmartScreen: More info → Run anyway.
  • macOS — Gatekeeper: right-click the app → Open (or System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway).
  • Linux — make the .AppImage executable (chmod +x) and run it, or install the .deb / .rpm.

The .sig files, Field.Notes_universal.app.tar.gz, and latest.json are used by the in-app auto-updater — you don't need to download them.
