SpendPreflight 0.2.1

Compatibility update for the October22 API method migration:

  • Scout find/verify send POST JSON; trial=1 remains URL-only and merchant resource query strings are preserved in the body.
  • LangChain payee-check source examples use POST JSON.
  • GET/HEAD on paid service routes are discovery only and never settle. Obtain the execution challenge with POST before signing.
  • Core remote preflight already used POST. Scout production remains gated; this release does not enable it.

52 full tests, typecheck, SDK build and LangChain build passed before and after merge. Main CI39767818542 passed for commit5ec46f550ad868cfe60e272be1bc4e5eb25f5eb5. Publish uses the existing npm OIDC/provenance workflow. No paid calls or trial calls were made. The separate LangChain package is not published by this release.

SpendPreflight 0.2.0

We operate SpendPreflight. Version 0.2.0 adds guarded framework examples, remote endpoint policy options, stronger pre-signing budget/amount/deadline checks, offline signed-decision verification, and typed Scout find/verify helpers.

Requires Node.js 20+. Remote screening must use a separate, locally bounded payment client; recursive reuse of the merchant client fails closed. See the README for migration and exact safety limits.

Production preflight rules and Ed25519 signing are live. Scout's service is still an isolated staging preview pending its capacity review; the README uses an explicit preview base URL and does not claim full-catalog verification. Python/PyPI is not released by this version.

Validated with 41 SDK tests, typecheck/build, full service CI and a cryptographically verified free-trial production decision. Published through GitHub Actions OIDC with npm provenance; no publishing token or merchant payment is used.

This release adds the README Trust section and publishes the MIT client guard through GitHub Actions using npm Trusted Publishing and provenance.

The guard behavior and API pricing are unchanged. Maintained by the operator of SpendPreflight.

Validation: nine unit tests and TypeScript build pass; the npm package contains only LICENSE, README.md, package.json, dist/index.js and dist/index.d.ts.
