What's new

• The mech lab and the newsroom in 2197. The mech lab is now a 2197 lab: dark glass walls, cyan and magenta neon, and pearl-glass buttons with neon trim whose light slowly breathes, in the same places with the same controls. The WRDE newsroom anchor now reads the news in front of a night megacity skyline, with a few 2197 easter eggs to spot.
• The newsroom replay is copied from the fight's picture, not the window. The newsroom's replay of the finishing blow is now copied straight from the fight's own picture as it is drawn, instead of from the game window afterwards, the way that left the monitor's box black on Windows.
• The lab hand stays on the mouse after a click on a select arrow. In the mech lab, clicking the arrows to change your pilot's photo or the tournament no longer pulls the hand away from your mouse to the SELECT button. The hand only goes back to the buttons when you use the keys or a gamepad.

• UE 5.8.2 Win64, built on the Linux release host under Wine: 177 OMF automation tests passed, including native combat; a fresh package matched the built executable and played the scripted replay to tick 400 on the native core.

Mac (Apple Silicon)

• First Mac build. OMF2097-remake-v1.0.68-macos-arm64.dmg runs on Apple Silicon Macs (M1 and newer). Open the DMG and drag the game to Applications. It is signed with the LineCrush Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so it opens with no security warning. Single-player only on Mac for now; online Versus is Windows only.

What's new

• Enhanced opponents by event and difficulty, and effects for enhanced specials. Under GAMEPLAY's ENHANCEMENTS MODERN, tournament opponents now fight with enhanced specials that grow with the event and the difficulty, the top-ranked ones most of all. An enhanced special, yours or theirs, now looks it: cyan afterimages and outline, a cool flash as it starts, and brighter hits with a cyan core.
• Buy and sell enhancement levels in the mech lab. The mech lab's workshop has a new ENHANCEMENT row, the robot picture between the upgrade buttons, where you buy your robot's enhancement levels and sell them back for exactly what they cost. MOVE LIST marks each special move your level improves, with what changes, for example ENHANCED: 3 SHOTS on the Jaguar's Concussion Cannon.
• Unlockables: earn six robots, four paint finishes and an UNLOCKS page. Six robots are now earned through play: clear arcade for Nova, three pilots' arcade clears for Glacier, ten wins for Lodestone, a scrap or destruction for Auger, three perfect wins for Banshee and a tournament win for Riptide. Wins and perfects also unlock Gold, Plasma, Chrome and Obsidian paint. A NEW banner announces each unlock, and EXTRAS' new UNLOCKS page shows your progress on the rest.

OMF2097-remake-v1.0.65-android-arm64.apk is the phone build of v1.0.65 (LineCrush-Games 541058b8, the same omf2097/ tree): touch controls, the real fight engine and the original game data inside. It is a playtest build, it is not on Google Play, and it installs by sideloading (allow "Install unknown apps" for your browser or file manager). It is signed with the same debug key as the v1.0.33 APK, so it installs over it.

• A Mac build. One Must Fall 2097 now has an Apple Silicon Mac build, shipped as a .dmg (drag to Applications). It is the same game as the PC release: tournament, arcade, single match and the original data and music. Online Versus is not on Mac.

• The pilot's name lands in the name box. On the new pilot screen the name you type now appears inside the black name slot, with the cursor, instead of on the metal below it, and the "ENTER PILOT'S NAME" prompt no longer runs into the slot. Same on PC and phone.
