PPTBridge SK v0.5.8 - Windows x64 + Apple Silicon Stable

PPTBridge SK is a free, independent OBS Studio plugin for live PowerPoint and PDF workflows:

  • PPTBridge SK Slide gives the audience a clean program output.
  • PPTBridge SK Presenter gives the speaker or operator current/next slides, notes, timer, and cues.

Windows x64 and Apple Silicon are stable platforms in this same release. Intel Mac remains a separate beta track.

Install on Windows

  1. Download and extract pptbridge-obs-windows-x64-v0.5.8.zip.
  2. Close OBS and double-click INSTALL.cmd.
  3. Approve the Windows administrator prompt when asked.
  4. Open OBS and add PPTBridge SK Slide or PPTBridge SK Presenter from Sources +.
  5. Select a PowerPoint file and click START - Open PowerPoint / Start Live Mode.

The Windows ZIP contains exactly five required files: the installer, short user guide, plugin DLL, and two OBS locale files.

Install on macOS

  1. Download and unzip pptbridge-obs-macos-apple-silicon.zip.
  2. Quit OBS and open START-HERE-macOS.txt.
  3. Double-click 1-Install-PPTBridge-SK.command.
  4. If macOS blocks it, right-click the installer and choose Open.
  5. Let the installer open OBS, then add PPTBridge SK Slide or PPTBridge SK Presenter from Sources +.

For an animated .pptx, select the deck and click Start / Restart PowerPoint Live Mode. PDF decks render directly and do not require PowerPoint.

Windows Highlights

  • Resize the PowerPoint window without changing the configured OBS output size.
  • Extra Next presses on the final slide keep the slideshow open.
  • Multiple live decks, Program-scene clicker/audio routing, Studio Preview isolation, OSC, and recovery.
  • Reliable UAC installation into a normal OBS Program Files folder.

What Is New

  • Fixed multi-deck live startup while another PowerPoint slideshow is already running.
  • Fixed a render-thread race when Presenter layout or background properties change.
  • Added automatic live-session recovery and manual live-window reattach.
  • Starting live mode from Presenter now starts the matching Slide source.
  • Added clearer validation errors for missing, unsupported, corrupt, or incomplete decks.
  • Improved immediate operator/source status refresh after controls are used.
  • Expanded embedded-audio cleanup and release QA coverage.
  • Kept ordinary left/right arrows free; global clicker capture uses PageDown/PageUp by default.

Control Options

  • Focused OBS hotkeys: 2 next, 1 previous.
  • Stage clicker: Tools > PPTBridge SK: Spotlight/Clicker Capture On/Off.
  • Companion / Stream Deck: included Generic OSC template and guide.
  • Local OSC: commands on 127.0.0.1:57130, feedback on 57131.

Controls follow the PPTBridge source in the current OBS Program scene, allowing several decks to stay open without commands going to the wrong presentation.

The release also includes pptbridge-obs-macos-apple-silicon.zip.sha256 for checksum verification.

Verification

Windows x64: the final five-file ZIP passed 51/51 runtime checks in real OBS Studio 32.1.2 on Windows 11 with desktop PowerPoint 2010. Coverage included Slide and Presenter, animations, embedded video/audio, resize, final-slide protection, Program/Preview clicker isolation, three simultaneous live decks, OSC, recovery, legacy .ppt, invalid inputs, ten Start/Stop cycles, six real event decks, an 8.6 GB media-heavy deck, and real UAC install/reinstall into standard OBS. Physical Logitech Spotlight hardware was not available; PageDown/PageUp clicker behavior was simulated and passed.

Apple Silicon: the package was built and runtime-tested on OBS Studio 32.1.1 on an M1 Pro. Coverage included real PPTX/PDF rendering, Presenter layouts, multi-deck routing, PowerPoint live start/stop/navigation/final-slide protection, OSC control and feedback, cue state, cache reuse/invalidation, embedded media audio, isolated installation, sanitizers, static analysis, and release-package checks.

Windows Requirements and Known Limits

  • Windows 10/11 x64, OBS Studio 30+ 64-bit, and desktop Microsoft PowerPoint are required.
  • PDF input is not enabled on Windows; PDF remains available in the macOS build.
  • The Windows DLL and installer are not code-signed yet, so Windows may ask for confirmation.
  • Rehearse every production deck on the exact show computer before the event.

The Windows checksum is published as pptbridge-obs-windows-x64-v0.5.8.zip.sha256.
