These are the certificates and descriptions for the forage virtual internships I completed. I won't post what I did to ensure the integrity of the program, but if you email I can talk and share my work and what I learned! Here are the descriptions for each of the programs:
- Identified an ideal M&A target for a client based on an assessment of their strategic and financial criteria.
- Constructed a DCF model to calculate the valuation of the M&A target and adjusted the model to account for a competitor bid and supply chain interruption.
- Created a 2-pager for the client containing a company profile and summary of the auction process.
- Set up a local dev environment by downloading the necessary files, tools and dependencies.
- Fixed broken files in the repository to make web application output correctly.
- Used JPMorgan Chase’s open source library called Perspective to generate a live graph that displays a data feed in a clear and visually appealing way for traders to monitor.
- Understood relevant requirements for building a system to manage financial portfolios
- Figured out what data the system needed to keep track of
- Drafted a visual representation of the data as an entity relationship diagram (ERD)
- Used the IntelliJ developer application to implement the ERD and published it to GitHub
- Completed a job simulation focused on a cybersecurity risk assessment for PwC
- Determined if controls were missing from a process and identified risks associated with those gaps
- Completed a Test of Design and Operating Effectiveness documentation
- Created a one-slide summary to present findings
- Completed a job simulation where I served as an analyst on Mastercard’s Security Awareness Team
- Helped identify and report security threats such as phishing
- Analyzed and identified which areas of the business needed more robust security training and implemented training courses and procedures for those teams
- Completed a job simulation involving AI-powered financial chatbot development for BCG's GenAI Consulting team.
- Gained experience in Python programming, including the use of libraries such as pandas for data manipulation.
- Integrated and interpreted complex financial data from 10-K and 10-Q reports, employing rule-based logic to create a chatbot that provides user-friendly financial insights and analysis.
- Completed a job simulation where I advised a hypothetical local telco company, Company X, facing a decline in profits
- Conducted market research to determine the feasibility of the proposed solution
- Used excel to build a model to predict the potential profitability of the proposed solution
- Communicated a summary of key findings in a clear presentation to stakeholders
