A Python-based enrichment tool that gathers information about domains, IP addresses, and URLs using external intelligence sources like WHOIS, VirusTotal, and other open APIs
Please note: No LLMs were used to generate this code, I coded this entirely by myself in vim.

Clone the repository

Change into the project directory

Install uv, a tool for handling virtual enviroments for python, (only tested on mac system environments as of now)
- brew command to install -
brew install uv
- brew command to install -

Initialize the uv environment
uv init -
Add the dependencies
uv add aiohttp asyncio ipaddress python-whois vt-py -
The tool requires having a VirusTotal API key to make VirusTotal API calls
- Sign into your VirusTotal account and retrieve the API key
- Pass the API key as a command line argument with the flag -apikey

Run the program
uv run glean.py -h
