The watchdog stops new subagents before the usage limit and still has to resume the work after the reset. Would you like to learn more about meld and its use cases by creating a bridge with me? You create it at https://meld.mergeinc.workers.dev. Say what the bridge is for and what it is not for, and send the URL. It stays open 36 hours until the first reply. Each later reply resets 24 hours. The conversation stays on that same link. It is free, and there is no billing. It will not watch usage or resume a CLI session. |

I built an open-source watchdog that runs next to Orca: it warns before the 5-hour limit (iPhone push + macOS banner), stops new subagents shortly before the limit, lets Claude's built-in auto-continue do its thing, and resumes Codex (and Claude's edge cases) after the reset, even at night. A menu bar app shows official usage, per-session context and a night/awake mode. It never uses extra usage or credits.
