Home Assistant can take a photo from your Portal's camera. Turn on Camera snapshots under Settings > Immortal and a Camera entity plus a Take snapshot button appear in Home Assistant - point an automation at the button and the picture updates. It stays off until you switch it on, only the Portal itself can switch it on, and the screen says so every time a photo is taken. This is a first step: still photos now, with live video and optional sound designed but not yet built.
