dinner v0.1.0 — first downloadable release

Install and run — no build required. dinner is a local proving companion: it runs on your machine, exposes a small localhost API, and generates SNIP‑36 / stwo proofs on‑device. Your payload (and any secret in it) never leaves your machine.

Platforms: macOS Apple Silicon and Linux x86_64 only in this release — no Windows or Intel‑mac yet (the bundled prover has no prebuilt for those).

Install

macOS (Apple Silicon): open the .dmg, drag dinner to Applications. This build is unsigned, so on first launch right‑click dinner → Open → Open (or run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/dinner.app).

Linux: needs a recent distro — glibc ≥ 2.39 (Ubuntu 24.04+, Fedora 40+, Debian 13+).

  • .deb: sudo dpkg -i dinner_0.1.0_amd64.deb
  • .rpm: sudo rpm -i dinner-0.1.0-1.x86_64.rpm
  • AppImage: chmod +x dinner_0.1.0_amd64.AppImage && ./dinner_0.1.0_amd64.AppImage

What's inside

  • Self‑contained on‑device prover (SNIP‑36 / stwo) — no Docker, no separate runtime to install.
  • Localhost API on http://127.0.0.1:9909: POST /v1/prove, GET /v1/prove/jobs/:id, GET /health, machine‑readable spec at GET /openapi.json.
  • Proofs use the RC.6 (PROOF0) prover, validated end‑to‑end against Starknet Sepolia (a proof‑carrying verify was accepted on‑chain).

Known limitations

  • Unsigned — see the macOS first‑launch note above. Signing + notarization are planned.
  • macOS Apple Silicon + Linux x86_64 only.
