Since, i was free this week - Refactored array/float64 and array/float32. This consist all the missing benchmark and test files.

1. Need guidance on adding C implementation for array/float16
2. Review on array/complex-factory PR

• array/float16 completes Phase 1
• array/complex-factory completes Phase 3
• I'm left with adding support for array, ndarray, and strided. (Phase 2 & 4)

Hi,

I have a few questions and observations regarding the BLAS implementations:

1. Earlier, you advised to refer to cblas for input validation. However, ndarray introduces additional parameters such as strideA1, strideA2, offsetA, offsetX, and offsetY, which are not present in cblas.

   Should I add validation for strides to be non-zero and offsets to be non-negative integers?

   There also seems to be inconsistency in validating strideA1 and strideA2. For example, dtrsv
   validates them, while most other packages do not.

2. I’ve noticed two common patterns for pointer/index updates:
   Is there a recommended convention for when each pattern should be used?

   1. Stride addition (incremental update):
      This appears more common in real-valued routines and works well for packed formats (e.g., dspmv).

   2. Index recalculation:
      This is more common in complex-valued routines.

   I’ve flagged similar issues in the following routines:

   • dgbmv
   • dsbmv
   • dtbmv
   • dtbsv
   • sgbmv
   • ssbmv
   • stbmv
   • stbsv

   Additionally, I noticed some minor issues:

   • dtpmv: missing type declaration for order
   • dtrsv: incorrect test import for csa1nsa2n. I have opned an issue and pr to address it.

   Should I open PRs to refactor these?

4. I have restored the generic type to Collection in: fix: mismatch between BLAS band storage and to-compact as you mentioned.

5. I have opened 8 pull requests for JavaScript implementations of BLAS Level 2 complex-valued routines, but they haven’t been reviewed yet.

   Is the delay due to project prioritization? Since the proposal ranking deadline is approaching, I’m concerned that these PRs might go unnoticed. I would really appreciate it if you could review them before the deadline.

I'm doing some benchmark on various implementations of 32x32->64-bit uint multiplication. Like doing two 16-bit split vs one 16-bit split (taking advantage of the fact that JS can handle 48-bit result), using Math.imul wherever possible vs not, etc and then analyzing generated assembly and running benchmarks. So far I've found that the most optimal way is to use two 16-bit split and using Math.imul wherever possible.

Then I kinda randomly remembered that the implementation of number/uint32/mul doesn't expose a Math.imul based implementation, only a manual one like a polyfill. I checked that number/int32/mul actually does expose the builtin Math.imul when available and a polyfill otherwise. So I think there's a mismatch here and we're kinda missing out on native performance when using the current umul, which is gonna be heavily utilized in 64-bit stuff later.

Should I update umul it to expose a Math.imul based implementation when supported?

Also, about the uint64 ctor, I think we should give up on trying to use BigInt in favor of high-low words, at least for now? What's your though on this?
