Pack Customizations

steefan1998 edited this page Nov 2, 2026 · 6 revisions

Besides the quest book and the KubeJS additions, GSPack configures several mods. This page lists the parts you'll notice while playing.

Main menu

GSPack replaces the title screen with FancyMenu:

  • A pixel-art dusk background with floating islands
  • The GSPack logo
  • Gold-trimmed buttons in a centred column
  • A GSPack Wiki button under Mods that opens this wiki
  • GitHub and CurseForge buttons that open the pack's pages
  • The Realms button is hidden

Files: config/fancymenu/customization/gspack_title_screen.txt (layout) and config/fancymenu/assets/gspack/ (textures). FancyMenu is client-only, so servers don't need it.

Clarity Shader

GSPack includes Clarity Shader, a shader mod by the GSPack author: bloom, god rays, water reflections and color grading, without having to install a shader pack.

  • It starts off. Press F6 to switch between the profiles: Off, Low, Medium, High, Max and Auto.
  • Auto watches your frame rate while you play and adjusts the quality to reach a target FPS (60 by default).
  • More settings (each effect separately, the Auto target, Distant Horizons support) are in its config screen, or in config/clarityshader-client.toml.

The pack also still includes Iris with the BSL and Complementary shader packs (see the Mod List), under Options > Video Settings > Shader Packs.

Endgame: craftable creative items

Creative items from Mekanism, AE2, Oritech, Powah, Mystical Agradditions, Sophisticated Storage and Backpacks, Storage Drawers, Functional Storage and Pipez are craftable in GSPack, using a Creative Singularity. Their original recipes are removed. See the Endgame Guide.

Allthemodium alloys in a crafting table

2 + 2 ingots (or dusts) of two Allthemodium metals make 2 alloy ingots (or dusts). See KubeJS Additions.

Content defined in configs

Some mods define their content in config files. These are the ones available in GSPack.

Extended Crafting singularities

19 singularities (config/extendedcrafting/singularities/): Aluminum, Bronze, Coal, Copper, Diamond, Electrum, Emerald, Glowstone, Gold, Invar, Iron, Lapis Lazuli, Lead, Nickel, Platinum, Redstone, Silver, Steel, Tin.

Iron Jetpacks

14 jetpacks (config/ironjetpacks/jetpacks/): Wood, Stone, Copper, Iron, Bronze, Silver, Steel, Gold, Electrum, Invar, Platinum, Emerald, Diamond, plus a Creative jetpack.

Generator Galore

15 generators (config/generatorgalore/generator/): Copper, Iron, Gold, Diamond, Emerald, Netherite, Obsidian, Netherstar, Culinary (food), Magmatic (lava), Ender, Enchantment, Potion, Honey and Halitosis.

Check JEI for each one's recipe, tier and fuel.

Mystical Agriculture crops

Crops for mods that aren't in the pack are disabled, so only seeds you can actually grow appear in JEI and in the Seed Codex. GSPack adds 19 crops of its own with Mystical Customization (config/mysticalcustomization/crops): Allthemodium, Vibranium and Unobtainium (each with its own Crux block), and 16 seeds for the ores of other mods. See KubeJS Additions.

One item per material

Many mods make the same metals, dusts and plates. GSPack keeps one item per material: Minecraft first, then AllTheOres, then Mekanism, then the mod the material comes from (Twilight Forest for Knightmetal, Stellaris for Titanium).

  • Every recipe gives the preferred item and accepts any mod's version, so nothing you already have is wasted.
  • JEI shows one item per material. Raw ores and gems stay visible.
  • Ores of other mods drop AllTheOres materials, and ores that AllTheOres also has no longer generate. Ores AllTheOres doesn't have (Titanium, Niobium, Iesnium, Firestone, Saltpeter, ...) still do.
  • Quest tasks for these materials accept every mod's version.
  • Worlds from 0.4 or older convert while you play. Server owners can convert the whole world at once: see Converting a world.

Details: KubeJS Additions.

Structures

Structure mods are tuned through Cristel Lib (config/cristellib/), with a folder per structure mod (AE2 meteorites, Aether II, Allthemodium, Apotheosis, the YUNG's mods, Dungeon Crawl, When Dungeons Arise, Explorify, Nullscape, Stellaris, Tinkers' Construct, Terralith, Thaumaturge and Twilight Forest). Each folder has a structure_placement_config.json5 (spacing, separation and frequency) and a structure_toggle_config.json5 (turn single structures on or off). Server owners can change them. A changed setting only applies to newly generated chunks.

Attributes

AttributeFix (config/attributefix/) raises the vanilla attribute limits (like max health and armor) so gear from Apotheosis, Artifacts, Tinkers', the Aether II, Twilight Forest and others can go beyond vanilla values.

Client defaults

The pack ships default settings for Jade (the "what am I looking at" overlay), JEI and others. Change them in-game as you like. Default Options applies the pack's defaults only when an option file doesn't exist yet, so it doesn't overwrite your own settings.
