- Local costs: reduce background CPU spent parsing native session timestamps and validating appended Codex history, preserving timestamp precision, daily totals, and fork accounting.
- Codex: reduce repeated decoding of cached cost history during scans, while preserving stored totals and checking for database and filesystem changes.
- Claude and Vertex AI: reduce CPU spent reading local transcript metadata, preserving provider detection, Unicode handling, and token/cost totals.
