Install

Download Tasky-Setup-1.3.0.exe and run it. No administrator prompt — it installs per-user, adds Start Menu and Desktop shortcuts, and registers in Settings → Apps. Running it over an existing copy upgrades in place and keeps your tasks.

What's new

A real installer. Tasky used to be "unzip the folder somewhere". Updating now runs the same installer silently, so an upgrade and a fresh install are the same code path — which also fixes updated copies reporting a stale version to Windows forever.

Manual task ordering now syncs. Dragging tasks into a custom order was previously discarded by the next merge on every device, desktop included. Ordering is a property of the list rather than of any one task, so it had nothing to carry it across a sync. It now travels with its own timestamp.

Tasky Web catches up with the desktop app:

  • Drag-to-reorder, with a grip handle that works on touch — not just with a mouse
  • Manual, Name Z–A and Priority sorts
  • Tomorrow and Someday sidebar sections
  • Quick filters that AND-combine instead of one-at-a-time, plus the High Priority filter
  • Subtask progress — an x/y badge on each row and a live progress bar in the editor

Subtasks are opt-in on the desktop. The Subtasks box no longer occupies every task's editor whether or not it has any. It sits behind a one-line "Add subtasks", with Settings → General → Always show the Subtasks section to pin it open. Tasks that already have subtasks always show them. The editor's due date / priority / repeat / tags fields now flow on one row that reflows as the pane narrows.

Fixes

  • Lists authored on the desktop rendered as a broken nested bullet on the web — every list item was being turned into a second <ul>. Affected HTML export too.
  • Tasky Web's Local Test Mode was seeded with a data schema that exists nowhere else in Tasky, so every sample task showed as "(untitled)".
  • The cache-bump script silently added a UTF-8 BOM to any file that didn't have one.

Notes

Tasky-1.3.0-win-x64.zip is only there so copies of Tasky older than the installer can still auto-update. If you're installing fresh, you want the .exe.
