New Feature: Automatic Fixing of Missing Colons (#69)

The myday tool now automatically detects and fixes time entries where the colon is missing after the type code. This enhancement makes it easier to maintain properly formatted time tracking files.

Example:

• Before: 19:00 - 20:00 M #Managing Stuff
• After: 19:00 - 20:00 M: #Managing Stuff

How it works:

• Integrated into the --validate --fix workflow
• Runs before gap fixing to ensure proper validation flow
• Handles all type codes: T (Task), M (Meeting), C (Comms), A (Admin), L (Learning), B (Break)
• Preserves file structure and other sections
• Re-validates after fixes to ensure correctness

Usage:

myday --validate --fix your-file.md

The tool will automatically:

1. Fix missing colons after type codes
2. Fix time gaps
3. Re-validate to ensure correctness

Testing:

• Added 9 comprehensive test cases
• All 75 tests pass
• Code quality checks pass

Installation

pip install mytime==0.11.0

Or upgrade:

pip install --upgrade mytime
