v1.0

Full Changelog: v0.1...v1.0

We're very glad to finally introduce you... SMART(Single-column Multi-layered Atmospheric Radiative Transfer) Model, Verion 1.0!
― Yooshin Oh

Note:

  • For more information about how to download and use this model, please refer to the documentation. (See DOCUMENTATION.md)

Supports:

  • Temperature Profile Calculation with the given initial profiles.
  • Two-distinct output generation. (in python-pickle format: for detailed information & debuggings / in NetCDF4 for temperature profiles among timesteps)
  • Various Filters to detecting Exploits in time FDM integration.

Modified:

  • Temperature exploits from #2.
  • Transmittance calculation procedures (Thanks to Dongwon Kang)

Verified:

  • Checked Validity of RT Equations. (Based on Two-layered Model, $A_{sfc} = 0.3, a_{lw} = 0.8, a_{sw} = 0.1$ )
  • Checked the model generates smilar result with respect to the results in the class (SNU Atmospheric Physics I, 2024-1, The error is in < 2 Kelvin)

SMART Model v0.1

Full Changelog: https://github.com/stevenoh0908/SMART/commits/v0.1

Initial Test Version of the SMART(Single-columned Multi-layer Atmospheric Radiative Transfer) Model.

Supports:

  • Temperature Profile Calculation with the given initial profiles.
  • Output Generation (in pickle for detailed information and debuggings, in netcdf4 for temperature profiles among timesteps)
  • Various Filters to detecting Exploits in trapezoidal integration FDM (RTFilter, TempmFilter ... See config.yml's annotation for more information)
  • Support for using forward-euler scheme for time-integration (Use FORWARD option for filter option in config.yml)

TODO:

  • Add Equilibrium-detection for the forward-euler time-integration FDM Scheme
  • Check whether the whole RT Equations are correct
  • Check whether the model generates at least similar result with respect to the results in the class (SNU Atmospheric Physics I, 2024-1)
