First release of zxplay_go, the fork of zx_go by Conor Armstrong that powers zxplay.org — a desktop GUI emulator for the whole Sinclair 8-bit line (ZX80/81, Spectrum 48K–+3, Pentagon, SAM Coupé, and a from-the-silicon-up ZX Spectrum Next that cold-boots real NextZXOS).
See the CHANGELOG for what's in v2.0.0 (versions up to v1.3.6 are upstream zx_go releases; the fork's numbering starts here). The Linux tarballs include desktop integration: ./install-desktop.sh ./zxplay_go sets up the menu entry and Spectrum file associations. The NextZXOS ROMs are licensed and not bundled — the app offers to download them on first Next use. macOS/Windows binaries are unsigned: use right-click → Open (Gatekeeper) or "Run anyway" (SmartScreen) on first launch.
