Check for updates now compares the running app to GitHub, not the local server.

  • Settings → Check for updates uses the Electron version.
  • Native updater no longer hangs the button if it has no handler or times out.
  • After a check you see “Checked just now…” or a Download button when a newer release exists.

  • macOS Apple Silicon: Sub8-mac-arm64.dmg (Developer ID signed and notarized)
  • macOS Intel: Sub8-mac-x64.dmg (Developer ID signed and notarized)
  • Windows: Sub8-win-x64.exe installer, or Sub8-win-x64.zip
  • Linux x86-64: Sub8-linux-x86_64.AppImage or Sub8-linux-x64.tar.gz
