drmeta 0.2.0 — Design-Indexed Location-Scale Meta-Analysis

Version 0.2.0 implements the design-indexed location-scale specification used in the accompanying DR-Meta methodological work.

Major changes include constrained and unrestricted scale models, exact nesting of conventional random effects at γ = 0, support for location moderators, observed-support variance-ratio and scale-attenuation summaries, boundary-aware bootstrap inference, influence diagnostics, revised design-score guidance, and expanded tests and documentation.

This release removes the earlier design-explained heterogeneity decomposition and clarifies that scale reweighting does not constitute adjustment for design-linked mean bias.

For primary analyses, the design-robustness index should be constructed independently of the realized effect estimate, its standard error,
p value, confidence interval, and other outcome-dependent diagnostics.
