Submit MetaModule 2.23.0
An update to the existing collection of 22 Submit Audio modules, matching the VCV Rack version number. Built with the official MetaModule Plugin SDK api-v2.3.0 and tested and approved on MetaModule hardware.
Improvements
- Loop: updated panel and reliable persistent PLAY control for the screen encoder. With clock sync enabled, Stop finishes the current loop and Play starts on the next bar, independently of the BARS setting. Reverse changes at the full loop boundary. Button and PLAY CV share transport behavior and immediate status indication. Fixed clock-sync initialization so the default On state works immediately, including when a sample is loaded after connecting the clock. Pending actions can be cancelled; short fades and saved playback state are retained.
- Drift: updated synthesis engine and MetaModule panel, with linear FM amount, Multiply amount, Drone and Onset/Sustain CV controls. Added saved 1x/2x/3x/4x oversampling selection and reduced redundant DSP calculations.
- Chain: saved Gate/Toggle mute CV mode, 10 ms mute fades and button-controlled effect returns.
- Chrono: all selected delay heads contribute to the stereo wet output, including Offset and Spread; smoother head changes and corrected QTR/DOT weighting.
- Sweep: unfiltered centre, non-resonant low-cut up to one o'clock, progressive resonance up to two o'clock and a faster smooth reset to centre.
- Sync: saved Trigger/Gate mode for START CV, retaining Trigger as the legacy default.
- SUB: smoother pitch and low-frequency gain transitions between bass notes.
- CPU: optimized repeated calculations and bounded arithmetic in Drift, Chrono, Clang, Impact, SUB and Master, preserving DSP quality at the same settings. Hardware load depends on patch, controls, sample rate and block size; no fixed percentage reduction is claimed.
Compatibility notes
- Drift defaults to 2x oversampling for new modules. Existing patches without a saved oversampling choice retain 4x. Lower oversampling reduces CPU cost with an alias-rejection tradeoff.
- Drift retains its existing control IDs, but its updated synthesis engine can make older patches sound different.
- Loop retains existing IDs and appends new controls. Its MetaModule sample browser and scrolling sample display remain available.
- The collection still contains the same 22 modules; this release adds no new modules.
Included modules
