As a community resource, we accept
- Links to external resources, repositories, and tools
- Code snippets to add to our library of useful tools
- Documentation, changes, and suggestions for the wiki
If you work with a tool you have developed but are not interested in maintaining, consider opening a discussion about the tool. Subsea Data Collective is interested in hosting, maintaining, and helping you share tools with the community.
Help us improve by reporting bugs, requesting features, or suggesting improvements. Choose the type of issue you want to report:
Need a tool that doesn't exist yet? Want a tool modified to be more useful? Tell us what you need. The form will open with a structured template to help you describe your request.
Found something that's not working? Report a bug with a tool or the website.
Help us improve the documentation - fix typos, clarify instructions, or suggest new content.
For Tool Requests: The form opens with a template that asks you to describe:
- What the tool should do
- What data it works with
- When you'd use it (which cruise phase)
- How important it is to your work
- Your preferred programming language
For Bug Reports:
- Tool name and version
- Steps to reproduce the problem
- Expected vs actual behavior
- Error messages (if any)
- Your operating system and Python/R/MATLAB version
For Documentation Issues:
- Page URL or section name
- What's unclear or incorrect
- Suggested improvement
