NOTE: This game is still in a very early stage of development and so does not yet have much of the content described here. Further, the game ideas are likely to change a lot as the game becomes developed. This wiki serves more as a space to note ideas than as a description of the existing game.

Novus Orbis

Novus Orbis is a text-based strategy-survival game set on an alien planet. You play as a human who has landed on the planet, and must exploit the available resources in order to survive.

Resources

Oxygen

The most important substance for keeping yourself alive. The planet is poor in atmospheric oxygen. You have a stored supply in your ship, but it will soon run out. Furthermore, its scarcity makes burning anything very difficult.

Sources

• Electolysia: Water can be split into oxygen and hydrogen in an electrolyser. This uses quite a bit of power, though.
• Extracted from the atmosphere: There may be trace amounts of oxygen in the atmosphere that can be filtered out.
• Mined: There may be naturally occuring sources of underground oxygen.
• Carbon Scrubbing: Whilst this doesn't produce more oxygen, as such, it does remove toxic carbon dioxode from the air.
