Pakflix v0.2.8

Current stable release.

Playback diagnostics release.

Added

  • Added a new Playback Info button to the legacy TV playback controls.
  • Added a read-only Playback Info report showing playback method, video/audio/subtitle stream details, route type, and session diagnostics.
  • Added logcat diagnostics marker: PAKFLIX_PLAYBACK_DIAGNOSTICS.
  • Added safe transcode diagnostics when available, including TranscodeReasons and subtitle method without exposing full stream URLs or tokens.

Improved

  • Changed the recoverable retry toast from a generic player error message to: "Playback issue detected. Trying a compatible stream..."
  • Fixed letterbox and pillarbox areas during playback so unused video space is solid black instead of inheriting the app background.

Preserved

  • Direct Play, Direct Stream, and Transcode selection behavior is unchanged.
  • Existing fallback/retry behavior is unchanged.
  • Existing subtitles, audio, speed, quality, chapters, and aspect controls are unchanged.
  • Compose player remains disabled and untouched.
