• Added Français as a fourth switchable interface language (English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Français). New installations still begin in English.

• Fixed remaining English gaps so live reader status, search status, scan progress, confirmation dialogs, backup summaries, and error details are fully translated.
• Fixed a Traditional-Chinese edge case where non-plugin strings (book paths/titles) could be character-converted.
• Added repeatable automated i18n regression tests (12 tests) with a static guard for untranslated dynamic UI; tests run in CI.

This release includes the dedicated ZIP and the individual main.js, manifest.json, and styles.css assets required by the Obsidian community installer.

What changed

• Fix the earlier UI-freeze risk by using explicit, safe localization at view creation rather than a whole-DOM mutation observer.

Install or upgrade

Download local-book-reader-0.3.2.zip, extract it, and replace the three runtime files in your Vault's .obsidian/plugins/local-book-reader/ folder. Restart Obsidian after upgrading. Do not use GitHub's automatic source-code ZIP as an install package.
