  • Allow local Temporal Web UI to use dexcli codec-server without extra flags, including automatically selected UI ports.
  • Accept HTTP/HTTPS browser origins on localhost and loopback IP addresses while retaining Temporal Cloud support and rejecting external or malformed origins.
  • Verify CORS preflight requests and protobuf decode/encode round trips through HTTP integration tests in CLI CI.

Start the codec server with dexcli codec-server, then configure http://127.0.0.1:8804 as the Codec Server URL in Temporal Web UI.
