Download the DMG, drag Yappy to Applications, and open it. On first launch, grant Microphone and Accessibility in System Settings → Privacy & Security.

Highlights:

  • Resume mid-sentence: release the hotkey mid-thought, press again, and keep talking — the pieces join into one clean sentence (on-device judgment, nothing leaves your Mac)
  • Spoken times land as times: "seven thirty AM" arrives as 7:30 AM even when the speech model writes it oddly
  • Secure fields stay secret: password inputs skip AI cleanup and history entirely
  • Answers read aloud without reciting citation links and source lists
