No Personal Data Collected: We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, IP address, or browsing history.

Local Storage & API Keys: Any user preferences, settings, or third-party API keys (such as OpenAI API keys) required for the Extension to function are stored locally on your device using your browser's standard storage mechanisms (e.g.,
chrome.storage.local). These keys and settings never leave your device and are not accessible by us.

Host Permissions: The Extension requests permissions necessary solely for its core functionalities (e.g., interacting with your Smartschool portal to assist with text, messages, or assignments).

Data Processing: Any analysis or processing of web page content is performed locally within your browser or sent directly to the AI service provider using your configured API key. We do not host intermediate servers to store or view your school data, grades, or messages.
- AI Providers: If you connect a third-party AI service (such as OpenAI), your prompts and requests are sent directly from your browser to that provider via secure (HTTPS) requests, subject to that provider's privacy policy and terms of service.
- No Analytics: The Extension does not integrate with any third-party tracking, analytics, or advertising services.
Because all data associated with the Extension remains strictly on your local device or is communicated directly with your chosen AI provider, security is maintained through your browser's built-in security features and your device's security practices.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in functionality or legal requirements. Any updates will be posted directly within the repository or extension listing, with the updated date indicated at the top of the document.
