Picking Steam Big Picture put three to five seconds of the desktop on the
screen first. Sunshine runs an entry's preparation commands in order, and the
stream is already running while it does. The switch to the workspace gamescope
is on stood last in that list, behind the resize, the framerate cap and the
launcher, so the player watched somebody else's desktop until it finally came
round.

The switch is now the first thing each of the two entries does. Everything that
follows is invisible, because it happens on the screen the player is already
looking at.
