The extension is now called Meet Recorder and the repository moved to supportefy-dev/meet-recorder.
What's new
- Renamed from Google Meet Recorder to Meet Recorder.
- The extension now keeps the same ID in every future version, so loading a newer folder keeps your saved settings.
- The popup footer is visible again, with Donate and GitHub links.
- Added a privacy policy: nothing is collected, and recordings never leave your computer.
- Rewrote the README with a quick start, screenshots, known limitations, and permissions.
Install
- Download
meet-recorder-4.4.7.zipbelow and extract it. - Open
chrome://extensionsand enable Developer mode. - Remove the older unpacked version. Its ID changes once with this update, so its saved microphone choice does not carry over.
- Click Load unpacked and select the extracted folder containing
manifest.json. - Reload Google Meet.
