Your attributes are no longer overwritten

FIX: Attributes you had set in WooCommerce were being wiped whenever an existing product was re-imported from eBay — which includes every time something sells, because a sale triggers a sync. Global attributes went with them.

This was not a setting anyone had wrong. Title, Description, Price, Images, Categories and Dimensions each have a "who wins" switch on the Settings page. Attributes had none, so turning everything else to No left this one running.

Two changes, and the first matters more than the second:

Global attributes are never overwritten now, whatever your settings say. eBay sends item specifics as plain text, which cannot safely fill in a global attribute's value, so yours is always the better record and is left alone. If eBay sends a specific with the same name as one of your global attributes, yours wins and eBay's is discarded rather than added beside it.

Plain custom attributes are only replaced where eBay actually sends one of the same name, and they keep the position you put them in. Anything eBay says nothing about stays exactly as it is.

NEW: An "Overwrite Attributes" switch on the Settings page, alongside the others. It starts off, so nothing changes until you ask for it — and even then, global attributes are still left alone.

Products being imported for the first time are unaffected: there is nothing of yours to protect yet, so they take everything from eBay as before. Variations are also unchanged — a variation's attributes are what identify it, so there is nothing of your own in there.

If you have lost attributes to this, they cannot be recovered — they were overwritten rather than stored anywhere. Re-entering them will stick from now on.
