Having the dashboard open could restart the sync

A shop with fifteen thousand products reported that sold items were still not being removed. Their activity log showed the sync working through a batch of changes, then — half an hour later — "Sync complete! 120 imported, 0 errors out of 0 total." No sync had finished.

While the sync worked through a batch, the dashboard took it for finished and marked it complete, and the next scheduled sync then started that batch of changes again from the beginning. On a large shop, with the dashboard open, that could keep the sync from ever reaching the newest sales. A batch that had stopped part way was "completed" the same way instead of being restarted.

  • FIX: the dashboard no longer marks the sync complete while it is working through changes. A batch that stops part way is restarted after thirty minutes, as intended.
  • FIX: syncing particular items by hand moved the point the regular sync reads eBay from up to the present, so any changes on eBay since its last run were never read. It now leaves that alone. Items synced by hand while a sync is running simply join it.

If you have products that sold before this update and are still in your shop, Stock Review lists them and offers to move them to the trash.
