3.8.0 — Stock Review
Run the Stock Review once after updating. It finds anything sold before the stock fix and puts it right.
New: Stock Review
TCGiant Sync → Stock Review lists every product whose eBay listing has ended but which your shop is still showing as in stock. On a healthy store that list is empty. Anything on it is most likely something that sold before the stock fault was fixed — a listing holding one of something ends the moment it sells, and an ended listing is never imported again, so nothing in the ordinary sync could correct these on its own.
Press Settle and the plugin asks eBay what each listing held and what sold, then sets your stock to the difference:
- Sold out — nothing left in stock.
- You ended the listing yourself with items unsold — those stay in stock, because they are still yours to sell.
If eBay will not report the figures, your stock is left exactly as it was rather than guessed at, and the product stays on the list so you can look at it yourself. Nothing changes until you press the button.
It works through five products at a time with a progress bar, so a catalogue of thousands is fine.
You will now be told when this happens
Previously this failed silently — the item was sold, the listing was gone, and the shop carried on offering it with nothing to indicate a problem. A warning now appears in your admin when any product is in that state, with a link straight to the review page.
The weekly stock check does more, and can be turned off
The weekly check compared your stock against eBay, but only against listings that were still running — which is exactly where this kind of fault does not show up. It now also reports ended listings that are still showing stock.
It was also always on, with no way to change that. It is now a proper setting under Settings → Check stock against eBay weekly. It only reports; it never changes anything on its own.
Also fixed
A listing that has simply run its course is now settled even when the product does not track a quantity. Those were being skipped.
