Only useful if you have had trouble connecting to eBay.

The connection test can now tell two very different problems apart

Before, if your server could not reach us, the test said so — but "cannot reach" covers two situations that need opposite responses:

• Your server cannot get out to us at all. A network problem.
• Your server reaches us perfectly well, but the requests used to connect your eBay account are being picked out and stopped. That is a rule, and whoever wrote it can lift it.

The test now checks a third address as well: the one the plugin uses to report its sync totals. That has nothing to do with connecting, which is exactly why it helps — if that address answers while the connection addresses do not, your network is fine and something is singling out those particular requests.

The test now says which of the two it is, instead of reporting both the same way.

Nothing is written or recorded by the check. The reporting address is sent a deliberately incomplete test, which it correctly refuses.
