Repository navigation
This template now uses Suri v2.0.0, which requires Node.js 22 or newer and validates links.json more strictly. Sites already created from this template don't get these changes automatically: update Suri as described in Updating Suri, and copy over the new deploy workflow.
Breaking changes
- Suri v2.0.0. Suri now requires Node.js 22 or newer, and the build fails with a clear error on invalid
links.json. See the Suri v2.0.0 release notes for details. (#2)
Improvements
- Updated deploy workflow. The site now builds on the latest Node.js LTS instead of the end-of-life Node.js 20, with the latest major version of each action, a read-only token, and installs that match the lockfile exactly. Dotfiles like
public/.well-known/are still deployed. (#1) - Pull requests are built. Pull requests now build without deploying, so a mistake in
links.jsonis caught before it's merged. (#7) - Dependabot for Suri updates. Dependabot opens a pull request about a week after a new Suri release. Before, the lockfile kept a site on the version it started with. (#6)
Documentation
- Simpler setup. The last setup step now runs the workflow with "Run workflow" instead of re-running a failed run, and the first step notes that GitHub Pages needs a public repository on a free plan. (#8)
- README synced with Suri, including nested link paths and avoiding
?and#, plus how URLs work without a custom domain and how to update Suri. (#3, #6) - License year updated. (#4)
