Velora 0.9.0 — real app menus, redesigned Settings, click-through pill

@sushilk1991 sushilk1991 released this 17 Jul 17:14

A design and desktop-integration release. Everything still runs entirely on your Mac.

Highlights

  • Real app menus. Velora lives in the menu bar, but while its Settings window is open it now behaves like a regular app: Velora / File / Edit / View / Window / Help menus, a Dock icon, and working ⌘C/⌘V/⌘A/⌘Z in every settings field. Close the window and it tucks back into the menu bar.
  • Settings redesigned. A flat, collapsible sidebar (toggle button, View → Hide Sidebar, or ⌃⌘S) with search that finds panes by the names of the controls inside them, and a version chip that opens About. All ten panes now share one grouped-form design — consistent section footers, search fields, and switches throughout. The Meetings and Modes panes were rebuilt; a live meeting recording now keeps its Stop/Discard controls pinned while you scroll.
  • The dictation pill no longer blocks clicks around it. The HUD window is click-through except directly over the visible capsule, so nothing invisible sits over your browser's address bar when the pill is at the top of the screen.
  • Check for Updates in About, alongside the in-app updater that arrived in 0.8.1.

Install

  • Homebrew: brew install --cask sushilk1991/tap/velora
  • Or download the notarized DMG below and drag Velora to Applications.

Updating from 0.8.1+? Velora offers this update in-app. First launch after install downloads the on-device models (~6 GB) with visible progress.
