Questly 1.4.0
New
- Settings > About > Check for updates looks for a newer Questly on GitHub. If there is one, it shows what changed and asks before downloading anything.
- The download shows its progress, size, speed and time left, and carries on if you close the dialog. When it is done, Questly restarts into the new version by itself: it installs over the old one and keeps your shortcuts, library and settings.
Security
- Only files attached to Questly's own GitHub releases are downloaded, and one that doesn't match the checksum GitHub lists for it is thrown away before anything runs.
Improved
- Finished downloads are cleaned up the next time Questly starts.
Download Questly.exe below (Windows 10/11, 64-bit). This is the first version that updates itself: from 1.3.1 or older, open this Questly.exe once and choose Install. After that, Settings > About > Check for updates does it for you.

Questly 1.3.1
New
- One after another has a Custom choice: type how many games play at a time.
- Questly works out how many games at a time your PC handles comfortably, from its processor threads, free memory and how busy the CPU is. Pick more and it asks first: continue with your number, or use the recommended one.
Fixed
- Always on top didn't do anything. The setting was checked before Questly had finished starting, so it was never applied. The pin and the Settings toggle now keep the window above other apps, also after a restart.
Improved
- The note under All at once suggests the recommended number of games at a time for your PC.
Download Questly.exe below (Windows 10/11, 64-bit). Already on 1.3.0? Just open the new Questly.exe: the running one hands over to it, then choose Install.

Questly 1.3.0
New
- One after another can play 2, 3, 5 or 10 games at a time. Each still waits for Discord and counts down on its own; when one is done, the next in line takes its place.
- Only one Questly runs at a time. Opening it again brings the open window forward instead of adding a second window and tray icon. Opening a different Questly.exe, such as a new download, hands over to it so it can update.
- The title bar has a button that hides the library: an X folds it away and three lines bring it back (Ctrl+B).
- Always on top keeps Questly above every other window: the pin in the title bar, or Settings.
- Launch all asks first when it would start more than 25 games, and offers a timed run instead.
Fixed
- Stop all didn't work while Launch all was still starting games, so games kept appearing. Now it stops the rest from starting too.
- Stopping a timed run while a game was just starting could leave that game running.
- Dialogs whose content scrolls now show a line where it gets cut, like the title bar does.
- The Activity log stopped following new entries once it held 500 lines.
Performance
- Switching to the Library tab with hundreds of games no longer stutters.
- Big timed runs start without freezing the app; the run list shows the last few finished games, the ones playing and the next ones in line.
- Stop all ends every game in one go, so stopping thousands takes about as long as stopping one.
- Questly starts faster with a big library, and adding games no longer draws the whole list.
- The timed run dialog opens instantly with thousands of games.
Download Questly.exe below (Windows 10/11, 64-bit). Already installed? Quit Questly from its tray icon, then run the new Questly.exe and choose Install to update. From 1.3.0 on, opening a new Questly.exe hands over to it by itself.

Questly 1.2.2
Fixed
- Stopping a game no longer flashes a console window that takes the focus from what you're doing. Questly now ends games itself instead of starting taskkill.
Performance
- Stopping games is quicker, since no helper program has to start first.
Download Questly.exe below (Windows 10/11, 64-bit). Already installed? Run the new Questly.exe and choose Install to update.

Questly 1.2.1
Performance
- The library draws 100 games at a time. Scrolling near the end brings in the next 100, a few rows per frame, so libraries with hundreds of games open and scroll smoothly.
Design
- Skeleton rows show where the next games are coming in.
Improved
- Moving the focus with the keyboard, or adding games, draws the rows needed to show them right away.
Download Questly.exe below (Windows 10/11, 64-bit). Already installed? Run the new Questly.exe and choose Install to update.

Questly 1.2.0
New
- Spotlight can add 1, 5, 10, 50 or 100 random games at once (or press Alt+1 to Alt+5). With the search empty they come from every game; with a search, from the games whose name has every word you typed.
- Undo takes a random batch back out, in case 100 was a few too many.
Improved
- Random picks skip games already in your library and games that can't be launched, since those can't count toward a quest.
Download Questly.exe below (Windows 10/11, 64-bit). Already installed? Run the new Questly.exe and choose Install to update.

Questly 1.1.1
Fixed
- Stopping a game, Panic Abort and uninstalling no longer leave the game's icon behind in the notification area.
- Uninstalling Questly also closes games that are still running, so their files can be deleted and their icons go away.
Improved
- Quitting always takes Questly's own tray icon down first.
Download Questly.exe below (Windows 10/11, 64-bit). Already installed? Run the new Questly.exe and choose Install to update.
