Wootch 1.7.1
Wootch 1.7.1 — fixes, polish & a sharper mark
A reliability-focused follow-up to 1.7.0.
Fixes
- No more stuck blur. Rating a title (or opening any Netflix modal) could leave the browse grid permanently blurred — Wootch no longer tears out Netflix's own modals, and clears any orphaned blur the instant the page settles.
- Panels can't get stuck invisible. The command palette, stats, Subtitle Studio and Browse menu no longer wedge "open but blank" if you reopen them mid-animation.
- Smoother browsing. Player-only watchdogs (auto-skip, PiP, bitrate) now stay quiet off the player, so scrolling and hovering rows stays smooth.
- Discord presence is more resilient — a frozen Discord can no longer stall the whole app, and the connection recovers cleanly.
- No accidental downgrades. The updater will never silently roll you back to an older build.
Polish
- New logo — a brighter, glowing W across the app, tray, installer and taskbar, crisp at every size.
- Groundwork for the upcoming browser extension.
Everything from 1.7.0 is included. Existing installs update themselves.
Wootch 1.7.1 — düzeltmeler, cila ve daha keskin logo
1.7.0'ın güvenilirlik odaklı bir takibi.
Düzeltmeler
- Takılı blur bitti. Bir başlığı beğenmek (ya da herhangi bir Netflix penceresi açmak) tarama ekranını kalıcı bulanık bırakabiliyordu — Wootch artık Netflix'in kendi modallarını sökmüyor, sayfa durulur durulmaz öksüz kalan blur'ü temizliyor.
- Paneller görünmez takılamaz. Komut paleti, istatistik, Altyazı Stüdyosu ve Gözat menüsü, animasyon ortasında yeniden açılınca artık "açık ama boş" kalmıyor.
- Daha akıcı gezinme. Sadece-oynatıcı bekçileri (otomatik atla, PiP, bitrate) oynatıcı dışında artık sessiz; satırlarda kaydırma ve gezinme akıcı kalıyor.
- Discord presence daha dayanıklı — donan bir Discord artık tüm uygulamayı kilitleyemiyor, bağlantı temiz toparlanıyor.
- Kazara sürüm düşürme yok. Güncelleyici seni asla sessizce eski bir sürüme geri almaz.
Cila
- Yeni logo — uygulamada, tepside, kurulumda ve görev çubuğunda her boyutta keskin, daha parlak ışıldayan bir W.
- Yaklaşan tarayıcı eklentisi için altyapı.
1.7.0'daki her şey dahildir. Mevcut kurulumlar kendini günceller.
Wootch 1.7.0
Wootch 1.7.0 — the big one
Discord-Netflix is now Wootch — a cohesive app around Netflix, not a wrapped website. This release is a ground-up polish of the whole experience.
A real app shell
- New name, icon and installer, plus a personalized boot screen that fades in behind the last thing you watched.
- Netflix's web chrome is stripped for a single, unified navigation: a slim titlebar with catalog links, now-playing status and a top-edge progress line.
- Window remembers its size and position, native right-click menu, keyboard shortcuts (F5, F11, Ctrl±), and instant in-app navigation.
Command palette (Ctrl+K)
- Live Netflix search with posters, your recent searches, and quick actions for everything in the app.
Profile & stats, in one place
- A weekly "Wrapped" recap card (save it as an image), a when-you-watch heatmap, a 14-day activity chart, genre DNA, achievements — now split per Netflix profile.
- "Watched together" — the people you've shared a room and a title with.
Watch Together, deeper
- Rock-solid playback sync, host lock, room chat with typing and reactions (plus a quick-reaction bar), a live member list with sync latency, a what-to-watch poll and a party planner.
Player & Windows
- Quality badge showing your current resolution, detected plan tier and estimated data used.
- Subtitle Studio — restyle Netflix subtitles (size, position, backdrop, colour). Open with Alt+S.
- Mini player, taskbar progress + controls, Jump List, a dynamic window title, tray with now-playing and background running, and full system media-key support.
Fixes & polish
- Sharper avatars and logo, correct Turkish characters in profile names, cleaner history, redesigned settings and notifications, and a resume card that picks up exactly where you left off.
Wootch 1.6.6
Wootch 1.6.6 — its own sync server, a proper new-version welcome, and the identity finished everywhere Windows shows it.
New
- Wootch runs its own sync server. Watch Together rooms now connect to a dedicated, encrypted Wootch broker instead of a public one — faster joins, steadier sync, and room traffic that only Wootch handles. If the server is ever unreachable, rooms quietly fall back to the old route, so nothing breaks.
- What's new, in the app. After every update, a sheet like this one opens once inside Wootch with the release notes — replacing the old Windows pop-up notification.
- The real W. A new ribbon-style W mark — on the installer, the app icon, the taskbar, the left rail, Settings and this sheet.
Redesigned
- Watch Together panel. It now opens right next to the rail button that summons it, slides in smoothly, and the room code sits on a cinema-ticket card with a tear line. A close button too, finally.
- Settings, wider and calmer. A roomier window, an icon for every setting, smoother tab transitions, and a gentle open/close animation. The interface-sounds experiment is gone — Wootch is quiet now.
- Notifications moved home. The panel opens beside the bell on the rail, and unread dots stay visible while you read — they clear when you close it.
Fixed
- The notification bell works. Clicking it used to open and instantly close the panel (and silently mark everything read). It opens properly now.
- The installer finally says Wootch. Setup wizard, taskbar name and uninstall entry all use the new name. Your settings, history, achievements and session carry over untouched.
- Watch stats you can read. Each day in the 14-day chart now shows its minutes and its date, not just a bare bar.
After this update, if your pinned taskbar icon still shows the old look, unpin it and pin Wootch again — Windows caches pinned shortcuts.
Wootch v1.6.5
Wootch 1.6.5 — the app has a name and a face of its own. Same Netflix, same Watch Together, now wrapped in a real product.
New identity
- Meet Wootch. Discord-Netflix is now Wootch — a red W mark across the app, the installer, the tray and the window. Your settings, history and rooms carry over untouched; this installs over your current version as usual.
Redesigned
- A cleaner frame. The title bar is now just what belongs to the window — back/forward, the current title, Discord status. All navigation moved into a persistent left rail: home, search, Watch Together, notifications, profile, stats and settings. No more duplicated buttons.
- Watch Together lobby. The room panel is crisp and solid instead of a blurry sheet, with a clear "Start a room" and a tidy join-by-code row.
New
- Keep watching. Wootch answers Netflix's "Are you still watching?" for you, so a late-night binge never stops on its own. (Toggle it in Settings › Player.)
- Auto-recover playback. If the player freezes on a black screen, Wootch reloads and resumes right where you left off.
- A quick tour. First launch after this update walks you through the command palette, the rail, Watch Together and your profile — once, then never again.
Fixes
- Presence keeps a clean Netflix mark. When a title has no poster yet, the Discord card now shows Netflix's own square icon instead of a cropped wordmark.
- No more update pop-up. The Windows "what's new" notification is gone — the app just opens.
Some of this is best seen in motion. If anything looks off, let us know.
v1.6.4
Discord-Netflix 1.6.4 — a design pass on Settings and Watch Together, plus a truer Netflix look on your Discord card.
Redesigned
- Settings, rebuilt as tabs. No more one long scroll. A left sidebar splits everything into Presence, Player, Experience, System, Updates and About, so each setting is one click away. The window is smaller and now resizable.
- Watch Together lobby. The room panel is crisp and solid instead of a blurry glass sheet, with a proper "Start a room" screen — a sync mark, a one-line explainer, and a clear create button. Joining with a code moved to a single tidy row underneath.
Changed
- Discord card falls back to the Netflix logo. When a title has no poster yet, your presence now shows Netflix's own wordmark instead of the app icon.
- Services, honestly stated. The old service tiles are gone; About simply notes that Netflix is supported today, with Prime Video and Disney+ planned.
This installs over your current version and arrives on its own.
v1.6.3 — app-grade: command palette, home, profile, ambient + fixes
Discord-Netflix 1.6.3 — a big one. The wrapper now feels like a real app: a command palette, a home surface, a notification center, a profile with achievements, ambient lighting, and a lot of Watch Together polish. Plus fixes for posters and profile pictures.
New
- Command palette (Ctrl+K). Search every action, jump to a recent title, or search Netflix — all from one spotlight. There's also a search button in the title bar.
- Home & Continue watching. Click the wordmark (or the dock) for a poster wall of what you've been watching, plus a Surprise me roulette when you can't decide.
- Left dock. A slim navigation rail that slides in from the left edge — Home, search, Watch Together, notifications, profile, stats, settings. Hidden while you watch.
- Notification center. A bell in the title bar keeps a history of updates and room activity.
- Profile & achievements. Your Netflix profile, total watch time, current streak, unlockable badges, and a 14-day activity graph — all private, on your device.
- Ambient / cinema glow. While watching, a soft glow drawn from the title's own poster colors lights the edges of the frame. Stays true to the Netflix look.
- Idle screen. Step away on a browse page and a cinematic clock + last-watched card fades in. Move the mouse to dismiss.
- Interface sounds. Subtle, modern audio cues (toggle them from the command palette).
Watch Together
- Named rooms + recent rooms. Give a room a name and rejoin recent ones in one tap.
- Typing indicator and inline join/leave/host messages in the chat.
- Reconnect resilience. If the connection drops, the room heals itself and tells you what's happening.
- Faster, tighter sync on join (quicker clock lock, instant host handoff).
Also
- One-click resume. Continue-watching cards and the command palette now jump straight back into a title you were watching, instead of running a search.
- Achievement pop-ups. Unlock a badge and you'll get a quiet celebration — never while you're mid-episode.
- Everything is optional. New "Experience" settings let you turn the ambient glow, interface sounds, and idle screen on or off. The idle screen ships off by default.
Fixes
- Presence keeps the right title. While watching (or when you paused), the Discord card would flip to a generic "Netflix" for a few seconds because Netflix hides the on-screen title. It now holds the real show and episode the whole time.
- Posters show in Watch Together. When you jumped straight into a title from a room, the presence card fell back to the app logo instead of the show's poster. It now finds the artwork even without browsing first.
- Profile pictures in rooms. Members showed a letter instead of their Netflix avatar while watching — now the real profile picture shows.
This installs over your current version and arrives on its own. Some of the new visuals are best seen in motion — if anything looks off, let us know.
v1.6.2
Discord-Netflix 1.6.2 — faster title switches in Watch Together, plus two fixes.
Improved
- Opening a title reaches everyone almost instantly now. Before, when the host picked a show, guests only found out once the host's video had actually started playing — so it could take 5–10 seconds to catch up. The host now announces the title the moment they land on it, so everyone starts loading their own stream in parallel. What's left is just your own Netflix loading the title (the DRM handshake and first buffer — a couple of seconds, the same as opening it yourself); that part is unavoidable because each person streams from their own account.
Fixes
- Watch Together seek is safer on join. If you joined a room while your Netflix player was still loading, a seek could briefly fall back to the raw method that trips error M7375. The player API now retries first, so the raw path is only ever a true last resort.
- Update notification shows the real version. The "you've been updated" toast printed a literal
{v}instead of the version number; it now reads the actual version.
Everything from 1.6.1 (the M7375 playback fix, faster updates) and 1.6.0 (room chat, reactions, encryption) carries forward. This installs over your current version and should arrive on its own without a restart.
Discord-Netflix 1.6.1
Discord-Netflix 1.6.1 — the fix for the Watch Together playback error, plus faster updates.
Fixes
- No more "Kesinti için özür dileriz" / error M7375 during Watch Together. The app was seeking the player by writing to the raw video element, which bypasses Netflix's own buffer engine and trips its interference error. Playback control (seek, play, pause) now goes through Netflix's own player API — the same approach party extensions use — so the picture stays clean and no error appears. If that internal API is ever unavailable, it falls back to the old method automatically.
- Updates arrive faster. The app now checks for a new version every 15 minutes and also right when you bring it back to the foreground, instead of only every 6 hours — so a release shows up without needing to restart.
Everything from 1.6.0 (room chat, reactions, encryption, sync reliability) carries forward. This installs over your current version.
One-time note: because your current build still checks on the old schedule, this update may need a restart to appear the first time. Every update after that arrives on its own.
Discord-Netflix 1.6.0
Discord-Netflix 1.6.0 — Watch Together grows up: room chat, live reactions, and end-to-end encryption.
Watch Together
- Room chat — talk to everyone in the room without leaving Netflix. The chat is a slide-in drawer that stays hidden by default and never pops over the video, so it won't disturb anyone watching. A closed chat only shows a small unread count on the Watch Together button — no interruptions.
- Live reactions — send a quick reaction that floats up the edge of the screen for everyone. Muteable in one click if you'd rather keep it calm.
- End-to-end encryption — every room message is now sealed with a key derived from the room code. The broker (and anyone sniffing it) only sees opaque blobs, and nobody can inject fake play/pause or messages without the code. The room code is the only shared secret.
- Sync-health indicator — each member now shows their live sync latency, so you can see at a glance how tightly everyone is aligned.
- Smoother seeking — scrubbing no longer floods the room with intermediate positions; only your final resting point is shared.
Sync reliability (fixes)
- Pause & seek now propagate reliably. A guest's own pause/seek could previously be swallowed for up to a second right after the host's drift-correction — the echo guard is now per-action, so your pause always goes through.
- No more mid-watch "playback error" from over-syncing. The app was force-seeking the player every couple of seconds over tiny sub-second drift, which stuttered the picture and could trip Netflix's own error. Now only a real gap is corrected; small drift is left alone.
- Seeks land on the right frame even with network latency, and a brief buffering hiccup on one side no longer yanks the whole room in and out of playback.
App
- Keyboard shortcuts — press Alt + / for the shortcut list. Alt + W toggles Watch Together, Alt + C opens room chat.
- The "Start together (3·2·1)" button was removed from the Watch Together panel.
Everything from 1.5.x carries forward. Auto-update installs this over your current version.
Note: the new encryption means a 1.6.0 room and an older-version room can't talk to each other — everyone in a room should be on 1.6.0. Auto-update takes care of that.
Discord-Netflix 1.5.1
Discord-Netflix 1.5.1 — a design polish pass on top of 1.5.0, bringing the last few surfaces fully into the Netflix theme.
What's new
- Branded dialogs — update prompts and error messages are now in-app, Netflix-themed cards with a soft spring entrance, instead of the plain Windows system box.
- Unified toasts — one consistent toast style across the app. Watch Together events and app notifications (like "update ready") now share the same clean, centered pill.
- Settings loading & error states — the changelog and status panels show a subtle shimmer while loading, and a clear Retry action if something can't be reached — no more blank or misleading panels.
- Staggered stats — the "most watched" and "recently watched" lists now animate in row by row.
- Onboarding entrance — the welcome window presents itself with a cinematic fade-and-scale, and the primary button gained a gentle lift on hover.
Everything from 1.5.0 (crash recovery, offline flow, update channels, health panel, and the rest) carries forward. Auto-update handles the rest — this installs over your current version.
