- Fix error spam when picking a frame over Blizzard's frames
IsMouseOver on Blizzard's frames returns a secret boolean, and the pick
update tested it 20 times a second. Values read from frames the addon
doesn't own are now checked for secrets; a secret mouse-over falls back to
a cursor-in-rectangle check, and any error stops pick mode once instead of
repeating.

- Keep DoTs on mobs you tab away from; custom target frame option
- DoTs on a mob whose ticks can't be seen (not the target, no visible
nameplate) are no longer dropped as "never ticked": chain pulling lost
every earlier mob - A cast goes on the mob targeted when it was sent (by cast GUID), not the
target when the cast event arrives: instant DoTs landed on the next mob
when tabbing straight away - Cast outcomes are tracked per mob; for spell DoTs, the pet's melee dodges
and parries are ignored, and a miss/resist not in the spell's school makes
the DoT wait for its first tick instead of being dropped - Advanced tab (was Behavior): attach the marker and kill icon to another
addon's target frame, typed or picked with the mouse (Frames.lua); the
display hides when the frame it's attached to isn't visible - Kill icon offsets widened to +-150; tighter tab padding so seven tabs fit
- Execute range probe (/did exec, Execute.lua)
- Projectile DoTs (Serpent Sting) allow for travel time before the first tick

- Add options window with live preview; fix Corruption tick learning
- Options window (/did, or the button under Options > AddOns): a live
preview on a mock target frame with target health and DoT damage
sliders, Simulate fight and Flash; tabs for kill icon, marker,
effects, text and behavior with dependent options greyed out and a
per-tab reset; Minimal/Classic/Juicy/Debug presets. The preview runs
the real display code: while the window is open the marker and icon
are attached to its mock frame (drawn one strata above the window).
Replaces the Blizzard settings pages and the old on-target preview. - Tick learning: a same-school hit landing in the same instant as a tick
(Shadow Bolt with Corruption) no longer poisons the learned tick size;
the closer one to the expected size is kept, and a wrong learned size
relearns from two on-rhythm ticks instead of rejecting every real tick.
Learned sizes reset once (DB_VERSION 5). - "Skull" is now "Kill icon" in the UI and description.
- Display errors are caught and reported once in chat and the log
instead of failing silently. - tools/test_load.py: loads the whole addon in a fake WoW environment
and drives the window like a player.

v0.3.0
DoesItDie
v0.3.0 (2026-09-23)
Full Changelog Previous Releases
- Add per-DoT colors, checkmark and sunglasses icons, new defaults
- DoT colors option: split the damage marker into one segment per DoT,
colored by spell school or with a stable palette color per spell, with
optional dividers; the damage text becomes a colored per-DoT breakdown
and the preview shows three sample DoTs. - Lethal icon choices: green checkmark and pixel-art sunglasses (new
generated texture; make_textures.py can now write full-color icons). - Defaults: sunglasses icon, red fill at 100%, red outline, per-DoT colors.
- tools/test_display.py: runs the real display code with mocked frames to
check segment totals, colors, dividers and the text breakdown.
