CueNow 1.5.1

@sworup-kumar sworup-kumar released this 17 Sep 06:38

Raycast support, and a new way to control CueNow from other apps.

  • CueNow now works with Raycast. Create a note, search your notes, or show and hide everything on screen without switching apps, and give any of them a hotkey.
  • Search your notes from Raycast by their title or by something written inside them, then open, hide, copy, or delete a note straight from the results.
  • CueNow now opens cuenow:// links, so Shortcuts, scripts, or anything else that can open a link can create a note, show or hide all notes, or open Settings.
  • Links and Raycast commands always go to the copy of CueNow you already have open instead of starting a second one.
  • Fixed Settings not opening when something asked for it while CueNow was closed.

Requires macOS 13 or later.

macOS 27 compatibility release.

  • Fixed notes that could not be dragged on macOS 27. Dragging now goes through AppKit, so dragging a note to a screen edge tiles it again.
  • Note transparency now follows the system. Glass notes pick up the Liquid Glass transparency setting in System Settings → Appearance instead of staying at a fixed opacity.
  • Glass notes and the menu bar menu now turn opaque when Reduce Transparency is on.
  • Rebuilt the menu bar menu as a real menu surface: system glass, the correct corner radius, and the standard gap below the menu bar, replacing the popover arrow and chrome it used before.
  • Fixed a hard rectangular edge drawn around the menu bar menu's rounded corners.
  • Fixed the blur behind the menu bar menu keeping square corners on macOS 13–15.
  • Adopted the macOS 27 status item API so the menu keeps correct keyboard focus and menu bar tracking.

Requires macOS 13 or later.

What’s fixed

  • Ordered lists now keep the same font, wrapping, and line spacing across every item on older macOS versions.
  • CueNow no longer lets the system’s automatic text replacement compete with its numbered-list editor, preventing malformed 1.Text formatting.
  • Glass notes on macOS 15 and earlier now use a translucent, appearance-adaptive background in both Light and Dark Mode.
  • Shared diagnostic logs now include the macOS version, appearance, transparency setting, and note style to make display-specific reports actionable.

@sworup-kumar sworup-kumar released this 18 Jul 05:29

What’s fixed

  • Glass notes on macOS 15 and earlier now use the system’s appearance-adaptive blur, so Light Mode no longer receives a forced dark overlay.
  • Checkbox selections now treat the checkbox marker and its spacer as one control. Deleting a partial keyboard or mouse selection can no longer leave the checkbox misaligned.

@sworup-kumar sworup-kumar released this 17 Jul 12:08

What’s fixed

  • The menu bar now keeps showing Update available after you choose Later in the update dialog.
  • Manual and automatic update checks now share the same update state, so the available-version badge remains accurate until the update is installed or is no longer newer.

This release keeps the existing adaptive blue version badge styling in both Light and Dark Mode.

  • Added nested numbered lists. Continue a list with Return, use Tab to move into deeper a. and i. levels, and move back out one level at a time while keeping notes compatible with plain text.
  • Glass notes now adapt fully to the system appearance. Light Mode uses readable dark text and controls over clear Liquid Glass, while Dark Mode keeps the light foreground with a lighter 10% dark tint.
  • Refreshed Settings with clearer grouped sections and a coordinated Light and Dark Mode palette across Configuration, Note History, App Updates, and Support.
  • AI-generated titles now finish updating even after the note window—or the last open CueNow window—has been closed.
  • Changing the request type in Support no longer clears the title, description, or attachments already entered.
  • Support attachments now enforce the displayed limit of five files at up to 5 MB each, while preserving valid files when an invalid selection is rejected.
  • Editing a Support draft after a failed submission now clears the stale error and lets you correct and resend it immediately.
  • Automatically detected updates now open the focused update-details dialog instead of moving the Settings window to another tab.

  • The Support form now keeps what you've typed and any files you've attached when you switch between Settings tabs.
  • The menu bar now shows "Update available" with the new version when an update is ready to install.
